Laboratory & Practical Activities

Hands-on Training for Real-World Skills

A key part of Computer Systems Servicing NC II is laboratory practice. Students engage in activities such as:

  • Building and assembling computers from components
  • Installing and configuring operating systems
  • Setting up a small local area network (LAN)
  • Configuring basic server services and user accounts
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting common technical problems
These exercises develop technical proficiency, critical thinking, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. Laboratory work ensures that students are ready to meet workplace expectations immediately after completing the program.

These are essential for mastering computer systems and server operations. Learners participate in assembling computer systems, configuring client and server operating systems, and setting up networks. Troubleshooting exercises simulate real workplace challenges, enhancing  critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Safety practices and proper documentation are emphasized throughout lab activities.
